Service washes

We charge per Kg dry weight* and can normally turn your washing around within a few working days, often sooner, so let us know if something is urgent and we'll see what we can do. If you would like your laundry ironed too we will require an extra day or two.

* dry weight being as we receive the laundry from the customer. If damp, it may weigh slightly more. We are always happy to weigh the laundry in front of the customer and advise people to pre-weigh if they want to be sure. We are not in the business of over-charging and our commercial scales round the weight down, not up.

If you require your whites and colours washed separately, please separate them before coming and let us know. You have the choice of non-bio skin friendly washing powder and softener, biological equivalents or you can bring your own products, if you prefer. We ask, where possible, customers bring their laundry in a strong bag that can be re-used for their return but don't worry if you don't have one, we can also pack your laundry into our bio-degradeable packaging, free of charge. Items that need hanging will be returned on metal (non-coated) hangers, also in bio-degradeable packaging.

Ironing

We cater for everything from ironing of shirts, service washes up to very large commercial orders of tablecloths, napkins, chef's jackets, etc. Ironing / pressing is charged per Kg dry weight for simplicity which saves us and yourselves the tedious counting and measuring of tablecloths, etc.

Dry cleaning

For dry cleaning, we are agents for another local family business. Bring your dry cleaning to us and we'll get it sorted and back to you in no time. Our prices are the same as you would pay by using their store direct, it just takes a day or two longer.

Environmental credentials

As a modern business we strive to be environmetally responsible and ultimately aim for carbon neutrality. We have solar panels, air-source heat pumps, our deliveries are by fully electric vehicles and we use only bio-degradeable materials for our packaging. We ask our customers to also think about how they use the shop and our services.
